Loreal preference hair colour 8.3 or 8.31
I regularly colour my hair with Loreal preference 8.3 Yesterday Boots did not have it and I bought 8.31 Assistant said might be slightly darker or lighter but I can find no information anywhere. Can anyone advise please I am reluctant to use if darker but lighter would be OK

Thanks tamborine Yes I can confirm that used yesterday having been unable to obtain 8.3 locally. Not a major disaster but not as good I found a long time ago that ash shades tend too much towards grey and would not use again from choice . OK at first but more like when faded and coming up to recolouring

Ash is a good contrast for highlites on brown & black hair as it has a higher lift tint & less orange.
