Hi, ive just found out that the GHD`S that i bought are not GHD`S but fake ones, i bought them online where i thought ( but obviously thought wrong ) i was getting them from an " outlet ", they were delivered but faulty, i emailed them straight away, and with no arguing they have refunded my money also ive been told i can keep the straighteners, im silly really cos i should have know seeing they came from China, but what im wanting to know is how do i go now about getting them repaired, there is a hairdressers by me that you can get a GHD bag and send them away to get mended as long as they are still under warrentee, but as mine as i now know are fake they wont do it will they, so how and where would i go to get them done. Thank you. x
GHD that are not genuine will be of poor quality construction and will have had lack of safety checks. Fake GHD products are dangerous and could cause electrocution, serious burns and damage to your hair. The GHD 2 year guarantee is only available on genuine stylers.
If it is that small a job open it up yourself and reconnect anything that has disconnected. If it is a heating element gone, then it may cost as much in labour & bits to repair, than to buy new.
Mmmm, yes it does dosn`t it, think i would take your advice and bin them. How can people get away with this, i did think it was a little weird that they refunded without an argument, now i know. Thanks. x
