I'm 53 and feel, act and look years younger, size 12 - depends on the life you have had (kids, smoke, drink etc etc) so you shouldn't generalise. I look at young girls with their fat bodies and am glad I am the age I am.
It depends on genetics,lifestyle...a number of different factors.
If you are 20,you'll think a 40 yr old looks old...
and if you are 70,that 40 yr old will be young in your eyes.
Well, the Boot's Protect and Perfect face cream I'm using must be doing something, I went to see a client the other day, and she said to me, Are you the lady I spoke to on the telephone?, when I said yes, she said, only you sounded much older on the phone, about 50 or so, i said, i AM fifty! She was surprised and I was pleased!
Doesn't it depend on how old you are? When I was younger ladies in their mid to late twenties looked old now I'm in my fourties I tend to think 60 plus looks old to me but of course it all depends on the lady in question.
What I ment was is it embarrassainhg to be that old when your surrounded by young people do you sometimes don’t want to talk about your age,
And why is it the fatter women are always laughing and jolly and the thinner ones are always measurable
I met an old (sorry, former) girl friend a couple of months ago. She had just had her 68th birthday and looked just as beautiful as she did when I last saw her 35 years ago. I asked her how she had kept her gorgeous looks and -surprise, surprise - guess what we ended up doing. That's the secret of keeping young!
i mix with people of all ages, the younger ones say i don't look my age, but what i find strange is what are you supposed to look like at 50, 60, 80?
in my grans day, all the men and women of 40 or so looked old, partly because of how they dressed, and what many had gone through, the hardships, and the war. We are getting out of that idea of being a grey haired gran with knitting needles and rocking chair, at least most of the women i know wouldn't be seen dead in twin set and pearls xx
