best hair colour to help tone down a pinkish skin tone?

The opposite (complimentary) colour to pink is a pale green but I wouldn't think you would want that colour for your hair. I speak as a painter of portraits and not a hairdresser, avoid reds and yellows for both your hair and your clothes, cool colours would be best, [and cool! :-) ].

Well none of us have ever seen you so the suggestion may be only a guess. I would advise you to get a black color on your hair. Black hair suit pinkish skin tone.

I've always had a pinkish skin tone and I have dyed my hair many different colours. I had to stay away from the red/purple based colours as they my face look worse.

The colour that worked best for me when I was dark was a rich chocolate brown or dark auburn but now that I am blonde I have to go for the for the Beige Blonde or Ash Blonde colours rather than Golden Blonde as they look much better.
