Babyliss Heated Rollers
I'm thinking about buying them but i'm not too sure on how good they are on long thick hair. My hair is a bit over half way down my back and is quite thick. Any personal experience or thoughts will be greatly appreciated :)

However, I have tried tons of heated rollers, and never really got on with any of them. My hair is also long and thick.
If it's rollers you want, I can honestly say that I've always had great results using large velcro rollers... the bigger the better!
Set them in the morning and just leave them in all day until you're ready to do your hair.

I have always used tongs to curl my hair but it takes too much time due to the thickness.
I don't know about velcro rollers. My mum put them in my hair for a fancy dress when I was wee and they really hurt taking them out. It could have just been that she's not very gentle but it kinda put me off lol. I think we still have them so i'll give them a go before I decide to buy heated ones. Just have to hunt them out first! lol
Thanks :) x

Lol Prudie :)
However, the lady makes a good point erin. Do put something over your head to protect your hair and keep the rollers from falling out. A scarf would be quite chic, I think :-) Or, you could be like a "celeb" and pop to Tesco with them in. lol.
I usually put a bit of something in my hair before I put the rollers in, like serum or mousse. When it comes to taking them out, just gently un-roll them.
If they're too "big", separate them with your fingers and then spritz with a holding spray.
Remember though, bigger the better!

When I was in my teens I had very long hair. I used to do a fair bit of modeling at that time. The top hairdressers who were at the shoots often used to spray my nearly dry hair with hair spray and then roll it up in empty toilet rolls, before drying it with a hair dryer and styling it. They were able to do the most amazing styles with my hair. They also used to rinse it in beer to make it super shiny and give it some hold. Makes me laugh to think of how I looked back then ... it was afterall the 60s!
