Gel nails

My son's girlfriend had gel nails done and I went with her and ended up getting mine done! I have always done my nails myself but I must admit they look really good. Is it a good idea to have gel nails on all year round or would this damage my natural nails? TIA

They'll damage your nails underneath, they need to breath - mine were rubbish for several months after a period of wearing false nails continually.

also, because they rough your nails up to put the gel on, i always found mine were not smooth after

I wore acrylic nails for about a year. I got hooked because they looked so nice but after stopping I reckon it took well over a year for my nails to get back to normal. They went really soft and stayed really short.

Put plenty of cuticle cream on, that might help your nail when it grows underneath.

the only way I can have nails is by using Bio Sculpture it is fab!!! I have had gel nails for 4-5 years they look a sight without it full of ridges etc.
