Hair styler
1241 Answers
I'm looking for a new hair styler . My old Nicky Clarke has given up .
Well ,let's say it went ..bang ,and I jumped abut a lot :)
What I want is a hot brush type thing ..not a straightener ..just one of those ones that give your hair a bit of bounce . Like a blow dry brush but electric .
Any recommendations......thank you .

Actually, there is a bloke who hang glides over our house regularly Shaney I could join him, but I don't think that would be a good idea as a winter pastime!!
I would fancy stained glass, but I would have to go to classes, so glass painting might just be a great idea. I will look into it. I could paint all our windows!!

Good morning Biddyfriends. Another lovely day here. So pleased you're feeling more comfortable Lottie. I used to do a lot of knitting a crochet but don't do any craft work at all now. When I was a young married I wove a couple of woolly rugs but soon got fed up with that.
Yesterday was a long day but quite successful. Therapy painful as expected as I learnt in 2000 when I broke my left elbow but I'm working hard at it. Have to go and have some more today. Then catraracts are going to be done in about 12 weeks. I'm happy with that and then dentist completed and £210 poorer. So that's it. I'll try not to go on about it too much from now on and thank you all for your lovely friendliness and support.
Have a good day. See yer later 'gater(s)

Morning jude, morning biddies.
You sound good jude, yes physio is painful, but necessary!
Had a lovely time last n ight, I wore a navy/white spotted cat suit (don't know what yo9u call them) we call them monos. It had a elasticated top and wide long flowing trousers, and cos its getting chilly in the evening I could wear a crochet cardi type thing, tottered in my wedding high heels (took flip flops in my bag and changed), oh so painful, feet are just not used to them. Am still in bed as not much to do today, have to take hija in to work at 6.30!
Glad your back felt better lottie and long may it do so.
Hope the rest of you are hale and hearty!

Morning biddybadgers....pleased to see you had a successful day Jude.
It certainly wasn't hot here last night (or this morning)...it dropped very cool and autumnal. I was talking to my sister and we can't remember what we wore on chilly days before we were introduced to M&S fleeces. :)
I often think about crafting but it costs so much to set yourself properly with a lot of these things...and then if you lose interest? I wish there were more knitting and fabric outlets that aren't a million miles away. I know I can buy wool on the net but I like to see and feel it first. When I did a lot of knitting I almost always chose the yarn first and then looked for a suitable pattern.
oooh, marzipan...lovely! The only sculpting I've ever done with that is to form bite sized pieces.

Morning Biddy Babes
Bit dull and cool here ..I thought we were getting a mini heatwave .
Pleased to hear you are still trucking Jude .Keep up the good work ,you'll soon be back on form .Hope everyone else is OK and any aches and pains are little ones .
We are lucky to have three places in the High St to buy wool Robinia . The local soft furnishings place sells it as does QD and then there's a bookshop/craftshop run by two eccentric ladies who sit in the shop knitting the day away .They do workshops too. I've been knitting little jumpers for fish and chip babies and some wrist warmers while I watch the tele .It stops me nipping out for a fag .Five days now without the weed .
Pip Pip for now .

What are fish and chip babies Shaney? Oooh I just looked it up. I had never heard the expression. My neighbour used to do that.
When I saw the Battersea programme with Paul O'Grady, the dogs were wearing little jumpers knitted by kindly folk. I thought that might be a good idea because I had loads of wool left over from when I used to knit a lot. Then I remembered I had given it all to my next door neighbour to knit baby jackets and blankets. She is the lady who died - can't believe that was a year ago.
I love your badge jno!!
Jude, glad you are feeling so much chirpier. Where would we be without physios, osteos of course occupational therapists!! :o)
Woofy I am serious thinking of glass painting.
My back is still reasonable. Next appointment on Monday. I have booked three and paid for them in advance to make myself go. What also is so nice is that the practice is in a private house in a beautiful little village tucked away near Holt (Gunthorpe) and Mr LL drives me there and takes Meggie out for a nice walk afterwards.
See you later. x
