I'm looking for a new hair styler . My old Nicky Clarke has given up .
Well ,let's say it went ..bang ,and I jumped abut a lot :)
What I want is a hot brush type thing ..not a straightener ..just one of those ones that give your hair a bit of bounce . Like a blow dry brush but electric .
Any recommendations......thank you .

But my menfolk have no interest whatsoever in football which is quite strange I suppose.
hello all, went to town to drop off computer for hard drive replacement and have competed my christmas shopping...now exhausted, nap time methinks, we weren't in bed till 1 am.
oh yes, the guitars too....

xmas shopping done?! ....tut...how dare you come in here all smugly organised woofy? :)

I love this song...I might leave instructions for it to be played at my send off...

Lovely song Robi. I do like Cat Stevens. I shall always think of him as Cat Stevens!

Goodness is Christmas coming. Both younger and older LL's have decided to cancel it this year, but I expect there will be a nice meal involved and a few small gifts someone during the holiday period. Roll on Easter!!
I now have Sydney Sis living here (she has invited another Foreign Sis to stay for Christmas), plus jno jnr +gf + her family, with whom we have had a couple of Christmas dinners (and we are going to see them for birthday tomorrow). So decisions decisions: who to spend Christmas with this year?

Answer: well, nobody's actually invited us yet...
Oh shaney lovely pasties, I also made them but don't much like them, I can only eat them cold!
Full house for Christmas then jno!!

Neti how is Hija doing. I bet she is freezing!!!!

I doubt we will be going anywhere for Christmas .Mr S has informed me he is stateless .His passport has run out and he can't renew online anymore .He has to go to the Embassy because they do this recognition thing now ,irises or something .We wouldn't have gone away anyway as he can't travel but if the police happen to knock and cart him off it's nothing to do with me :))

Oh yes ..bikes ..that's another hobby .Picky has two bikes .One he built himself and which I was clambering over for weeks in the sun room so as to get to the washing machine .
I call it a sun room and it should really be decked with easy chairs , a flat screen teevee and a mini bar ,instead it's a glory hole for "stuff" ...haha.

I like that song Robinia .

It's such a grey day ...and what does one do on a grey day ...why ..shop on Amazon of course .Just bought myself a couple of DVD's and two books :)

I've got bread pudding today but it's still to hot to turn out .
That's why I like having an i.d. card, very handy if passports run out, in fact very handy for everything over here.
grey day here too, Mr N and I went for a long walk around Ibiza town and really seeing it as it is, without all the awnings and tourists, empty and lovely. We ate in the diner, the place and music was fab and the waiters and waitresses all dress in 50's gear but the menu and food was disappointing.

Hija has apparently moved into a hostal today and am waiting to hear that all is OK. I think she starts work tomorrow.
eek, just seen is posted on another thread

Is anyone sending a St Bernard out to look for Vinny?
Question Author
Oh I expect he'll be Ok Jno .Probably hunkered down with his Becks , a Beatles LP and his bufferer .He's probably putting his sprouts on :)
The Germans can travel on ID cards Neti but you have to be resident in Germany and hold a passport to have one .I think they're a good idea but of course the British are sometimes suspicious of things like that .They think Big Brother is watching them but it's such an easy thing to have and does away with loads of paperwork .
Can someone drag me away from Amazon and tie me down somewhere ..I've now ordered another book and a lipstick :)

Awake again but still dopey. So what else is new I hear you cry. Fireworks have kicked off again and dogs are worried but not panicking.

I wasn't intending to be so organised vis a vis christmas but I bought the grown ups Amazon gift cards online last night and just when I was cruising the shops today I found a ton of lovely stuff for the small bits to go with the money (young relatives) and gift cards (adult relatives).

Middle Sis is going out to see the Dubai branch of the family end november and takes our gifts out with her so I do have to be a bit sorted.

Now for the confession...I bought a pretty holly red layering tee...saw it as i was cruising and stopped to see if my size was there. Someone had left a beautiful dusty purple silky plush dressing gown thrown over the rail beside the tees....just one on its own. "That's lovely., bet its not my size" I thought. Ir was per Una and the sizing tends to stop well before traditionally built. Lo and behold it was my size and ankle length to boot....well I couldn't leave it there could I?
Yonks ago we lived in Wells. The weather was always worse than in other places and I still have a camping stove and lantern and a stock of soup and candles permanently to hand because we expected rough weather every winter.
Oh shaney, bread pudding haven't seen one for years, would love a lice with a cuppa, please??

Woofy I get a lot of things from the rubbish, I've had hoovers (still working after 10 yrs) dvd machines, a lovely pair of sexy summer wedge sandals with ankle straps, you name it I lug it home, I also leave decent things there, last month it was a couple of working cordless phones and all accessories. It is a good way of recycling. Now the island has put out a clothes bin next to the rubbish binns where we can dump all old clothes and shoes which is good, but then I won't be able to get any more! Last week I left a blow up mattress, only used once, but I have since bought a proper guest fold-up bed, so hopefully someone else can get the benefit.

Jude I like that, but you see, where you and the waist go in, I, in fact go out as have put on all my weight again! Mr N had the gall to say I was fat!! Needless to say he will be on bread and water for a few days!!
Robi what is that cat stevens song as it won't open up for me?

shaney can you either email me or put the recipes for your pasties and bread pudding on here so I can impress Mr N, thank you xx
