Hi, I've never been one for daily skincare, I don't wear much make up and tend to just scrub off what I wear in the bath!
As part of my new 'all about me' regime lol I want to start using a daily face cream.
Soooooo.....what would you all recommend?
I'm 42, my skin can be a little dry and I want something that does everything...bit of wrinkle thingy, firm it up a touch blah blah......

As someone who has worked in the Beauty industry for years and tried most creams known to woman - I wouldnt recommend spending vast amounts of money, firstly. I would recommend trying something like the L'Oreal ones you mention, the Boots No. 7 range is very good as are some of the Avon ones. Vichy cosmetics are VERY good and are sold in some posh pharmacies and are very good for sensitive skins, as are Almay products if you can find those. I would also recommend changing what you use occasionally, say every 6 months, as you skin can get used to a product and then seems to lose its good effects. Don't bother with expensive Cleansers either, as you would do just as well to buy low cost cleansers from Superdrug or other. They do a lovely Cleanser which is called Hot Cloth Cleanser with Vit E which leaves your skin feeling lovely, I bought two of these the other day on offer for 3.99! Bargain. You do not need to spend a lot of money to take care of your skin!
Boots are doing their £5 off No 7 range with a voucher on a till receipt at the moment. I went in and got some witchhazel and Tea Tree gel moisturiser which helps with oily skin/shine on a 3 for 2 offer and some bargain cucumber eyegel and got one with my receipt.
L'Oreal Ultra Lift is OK, I got some at Superdrug for £9. You really should protect your skin every day and wash your face every night before bed.
I swear by Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream. I think it's better to go for a quality cream. Most cheaper products just sit on the surface.

Dive Girl, I tried the free samples of Davina endorsed Garnier for a week, it left an oily film on the surface, sign of a poor quality product and I broke out in acne after a few days. I use it as a hand cream now.
Please all try Liz Earle- cleanse & polish, toner & moisturize- takes no time at all, comes with muslin cloth and feels AMAZING

From qvc also on ebay- sensitive skin aswell- i think the story goes she created it with sensitive skin in mind as her kids had bad skin. Its amazing - takes off waterproof mascara in one swoop! Cant rate it enough. X
