Well ladies, do you wear varnish all the time, special occasions, fingers and toes ?I have just found a colour I love and I spend ages " touching up " . I think it looks awful when it chips.

Can't remember the last time I wore it.
Never without it - my mother was the same and I seem to have inherited the nail varnish gene. I do the same flump1, I wear the colour to death.
I usually wear it on my toes, especially if I'm wearing sandals, finger nails not so much, but I've just found a lovely nude colour and it's stayed on for 5 days now and hasn't chipped.
What make is that rocky?
Always on toes .... rarely on fingers, and only ever clear or very pale.... on toes lasts about 3 weeks without chipping as long as you use good quality base, polish and top coat.
Sorry ... clear or pale on fingers.... toes the darker/bolder the better
Always on my toes. Most of the time on my fingers. I have to wear boring uniform standard ones to work so I like putting on the bright colours that are fashionable now on my days off.
Always on fingers and toes. Usually wear a glittery silver MF one but often change to a navy or teal - trouble with the bright colours are they need to be perfect or it looks really naff.
Yoga, it's call Nail Pop, colour Petticoat shade 20. I got it in Superdrug for a fiver, there were more nude colours, bit darker and lighter. I'm really pleased with it, tidy nails without the 'look at me' colour.
The 'look at me' comment refered to me, not others who like wearing colourful nails, they always look crap on me.
yeah yeah rocky! :-))
Personally I think the trend for the really colourful arty ones with pictures etc only looks good (if at all) on the very young. I also don't get the the practice of leaving the moon unpainted, that looks odd and chipped to me.
All the time - fingers and toes.
Always on toes, and sometimes on nails. But if I have both sets done then they must match as can not stand mismatched nails. I generally have bright pink or coral colour in summer and a dark red in winter. I think my feet look really odd without painted toe nails.
Prudie, I agree, my friend wears some kind of crackled effect, I don't like it. I'm the same with lipstick, I used to wear bright red when younger but urgh, it would look crap on me now so I tend to wear more the nude colours now.
Thanks rocky, sorry had to go and answer the door. Funnily enough LOVE nude colours on others but go for browny reds, plums myself as nude looks horrendous on me.
Oh yes -all the time and there is only one colour Revlon Red(no chips)

Thanks for all the answers ladies, I have only just started wearing it and I am now a convert ! Hate my fingernails without colour.
I am not too sure about my toe nails , they are so tiny painting them nicely is a pain in the butt and I am not sure I want to be repairing them every day as I do my fingers' .
Have you never tried having Shellac? I had it put on my nails for the first time 2 and a half weeks ago and its still on, no chips or cracks. I love black nail polish so i had black, it looks great, really shiny
