When I had my big toe nail removed it was embedded so deeply the doctor nearly dragged me off the couch :-)

Guy I worked beside gave me the details about his ingrown toenail. Now that is seriously gross.

Yes sibton it was, and I was so pleased to get rid of it after so much pain. The doctor took hold of it with 'pliers' and started to tug whilst I had to hang on to the sides of the couch else I'd have been on the floor, myself and the nurse were in hysterics. (When I told the taxi driver about it on the way home he went decidedly green)

My left little toe nail falls off on a regular basis. It always has done. Grows to about 2mm and then falls off.

I had mines off once- its back now- but the relief was instant!!! The 5x injections in my big toe fackin hurt though!!!!!!!!! Haha!!

Sibton the hospital just bunged me a few dressings to change myself (which I didn't fancy doing but turned out fine). I went for a couple of check-ups before being signed off as okay. It's 20 years since I had mine done and it's not grown back.
