Do you think it's safe to have a teaspoon of Extra Virgin Pressed Rapeseed Oil?

My daughter (age 13) has eczema and I'm not happy putting anything on her skin that comes from the GP as they usually contain paraffin. I have been using rapeseed oil on my own skin for quite some time and found it to be very effective at reducing scarring, but after some research and realizing its properties (100% cold pressed, an excellent source of omega 3, 6 & 9 which can help to reduce cholesterol, rich in vitamin E, a natural antioxidant) I am wondering if I should give her a small spoonful on a regular basis? At £1.79 a bottle I think its worth a try and it can't be any different than giving her something like cod liver oil or any other over the counter capsules.
