Help needed please - maiden name and missing children (possibly)

I need, please, to find the maiden name of Eliza Ann who married Frank Dummelow in 1908 in Walsall, Staffs. They are together on the 1911, showing as married 3 years, and I can fin his marriage listing but no spouse transcribed on ancestry. Does anyone have access elsewhere to check this for me please?

Also they had Bertha 1909 and Elsie May (1910-1913) - but I can't trace other children and I am certain there were some .... and as Frank dies in 1919 (aged 34) I would have thought there would be other children .... can anyone help with this too?

The reason you cannot find it is because ancestry have failed to transcribe the whole of Lewis from the GRO index. I looked for Dummelow births registered in walsall and found a Frank in 1913, from about then the mothers maiden name is added to the index and the frank in 1913 was mother lewis, so, i looked up the 1908 entry for frank in the actual index on ancestry, not their transcription, and at the top you can change the letter from D to L, I then scrolled through the photo images until i got to the Lewis listing, Eliza Ann Lewis is listed with the exact RD and page ref as Frank, Q1 1908. Walsall 6b 805.

there was another son enoch in 1915, and amos in 1917..........but there is another Dummelow married to a Lewis having children registered in walsall in the mis 1920s.

or....... Eliza registering children under her married name and her maiden name after frank died

the 3 girls registered as dummelow and mother lewis in 1924, 26 and 28 were evelyn. lavinia and brenda

Dotty - a star as usual!! Magic!! One other question, Frank (senior) died in 1919 ....... but back in Walsall. How, if a all, can I find out if he was serving in WW1 and whether he may have died as a result?

well there are 2 cards in the WW1 medal rolls for a Frank Dumelow (one M) may be the same soldier actually. not much info, regiment, number rank

Frank Dumelow, (oh this is good! ) the second one says, deceased 13/02/19 (I think) leicestershire regiment, private reg no 1210 and 200056 medals victory brotish and star. there is a blue hand written cross with blue dots in each gap of the cross both against the medal list and his surname, not seen that before but it may mean 'postumous? l

also says first entered war on 02/03/15 France.

the death entered (if it does say deceased, it's abbreviated i think), does not fit with a death registration in the 4th quarter of 1919

Eliza Ann was my grandmother. My father was born 1917 Enoch Dummelow and Amos Dummelow, my uncle born 1919. I do not know my grandmothers maiden name but may be able to find out for you.

Eliza also had two daughters after Frank died. Evelyn and Brenda.
