apparently hairs have a cycle that they follow i.e. they may not aways grow back straight away, they may lie dormant for days or weeks before rearing their ugly heads again!so, unfortunately, when one gets waxed, there are probably a lot of hairs that have not yet exposed themselves.these tend to reappear within 10days of waxing.thats what i find anyway.
the thing is though, that, yes it is sore the first time, but the hair grows back a lot fairer and finer after being waxed.this obviously makes it A LOT less painful when one goes back for a second dose!
basically what i would recommend is getting waxed and then using the Veet cold wax strips youself whenever you see a few hairs sprouting up.
good luck with the waxing-just grit your teeth and bear it!
i think its great but i hate the in-between growth!
It lasts 2 weeks the first time you have it done, then the following times it will last up to 6 weeks. My friend has been getting it done for years and the hairs no longer grow on her legs!
As for the pain, try taking an aspirin half an hour beforehand and dont get it done at "that" time of the month
I think you might be getting razors and the bladeless razor kit from Veet confused. Veet is a hair removing cream and is supposed to last longer.
I got my legs waxed before going on holiday last year, and all it meant was I had hairy legs for 6 weeks whileI waited for the hair to be long enough to be waxed (I normally shave). not only that, but the beautition told me if you normally shave then wax, you'll get lots of little hairs that get missed because, as Monodge said, they grow at diferent rates. The woman ended up waxing my legs, then going over again with a pair of tweezers, that was agony!
It was nice not to have to shave when I was away, but it didn't last long for me and certainly didn't make up for having to wear trousers and tights for 6 weeks before because of my yeti-like legs.
