Is there such a thing? I don't mean hair removal cream but a cream or chemical that will slow/stop hair growing or get rid of it permanently.

hair growth is dictated by your diet and hormones. Starving yourself ultimately makes your hair drop out but in the earlier stages of slow starvation you can get hairier.

Are you saying that non of the huge pharmaceutical or beauty giants have invented anything that can remove hair permanently?

There's a small machine called NO NO which zaps the hair but it is very expensive.

You need an epilator. There are loads on the market at varying prices.
The hair is pulled out at the roots, which eventually slows down growth and the hair gets finer before it stops growing.
By the way, yes, it's rather painful at first!

Epilators work by yanking each hair out at the follicle. Unless your hormones change the hair will replicate itself - however because the hair shaft grows back smoothly the new hair seems finer than the old hair, hence the belief that epilators reduce hair coverage.
