Hi Mrs O - have been googling the cherry juice - there doesn't appear to be any in Tesco but they are available in health shops. However, there are a number to pick from - the Montmorency seems to be concentrate. Could you provide me with a link with the one you have advised. Thank you

Morrisons and Asda sell exactly the same brand too so I guess you will find it in most other supermarkets as well.
Good luck, and let me know how you get on

DTC, I don't know where you found the info on asparagus - it is news to me (Mr O is a martyr to gout)
The main causes are too much red meat, seafood and alcohol.
This web site specifically states plant foods are NOT associated with an increased risk of gout

from one of the top chefs down here, Mrs O, I was having an attack and that was his first question. By the way, I find Ibuprofen far more effective than Naproxen in treating it.....but now on this weight loss programme to reduce the chances of it happening in the first place...33 pounds having gone to date.

open up the pics and it's there, they are high in purine.....raw cherries are good as an antidote too, now that they are beginning to come into season.
