How Can I Bleach Copper Brown Hair To Blonde??

I want to dye my hair blue over the summer and it has been red for around 2 years, so when I removed the red colour it came out a copper brown (not my natural colour). So I now have dark brown roots and at least 3 different colours of lighter browns throughout my hair! The hair dressers Ive been to said they wouldn't touch it cuz its too long ect, and only one of them was helpful, he basically said if I really wanted to I could but it could take 4-5 hours and cost a ton of money! But Im hell bent on doing it so is there any way I can get round this??

Best to try a spray on colour perhaps, and give your hair a breather. Or else what I did in despair went blue/black.
