Love Bites - No Bruise, But Gone Yellow ... ?

me and my bf were messing around and were giving each other love bites for a laugh (we are adults not teenagers, so its not something we do- haha)

but anyway, the ones i did on him were dark reddish purple - as you would expect
however the once he did left no marks - but were quite sore

however a few days later they went quite a bright yellow!

Now i know bruises go yellow, after the colour fades - but why would this happen?

ive never heard of skin going yellow when there is no actual bruise!

is there any reason for this? i am not bothered of course - i was quite glad not to have to have the embarrassment of the bite - haha

but it does seem odd

any ideas?

It seems that your bruising was contained and what you are seeing now is the remains of the bruise.

If you're well and no other problems I wouldn't worry.
