Hairdressers

I know hairdresser shops are closed, but what about mobile hairdressers, can they still come to your home to cut your hair? As each day passes I am, more and more, looking like the wild woman of Borneo who has just stuck her fingers in a power socket! Have never used one before but if needs must......and if it isn't breaking any laws.

didn't think you could to be honest, if hairdressers are closed then no mobile hairdressers should be operating.

"personal care facilities such as hair, beauty, tanning and nail salons. Tattoo parlours, spas, massage parlours, body and skin piercing services must also close. These services should not be provided in other people’s homes"

Thanks for the link Mamya, I didn't see that .Some interesting answers on it like, 'Well it's not like you're going to any functions' This is true, but some of us have things like hospital appointments etc to go to and some of us like our hair to look nice. I thought other trades persons were allowed in your house to carry out work, so I was hoping this might include hairdressers.

Hairdressers would be in close contact with you whereas other trades person's like electricians etc., can work at a distance.

Can you tie it up or do something else with your hair? I've given up on my unruly hair and just keep it tied up.

tigger, well, if I can't get it cut, it will eventually be long enough to tie up.

Just sit your self down in front of a mirror .. place a bowl on your head and cut off any hair protruding from below the bowl . You will then be the proud owner of 'Lockdown Locks' .. everyone is doing it, it is really fashionable !
Once you can venture outdoors again .. just wait and see, you will gets lots of admiring glances .. I know you will thank me then !

You would no longer be at risk so its likely funeral parlors would be allowed to do the sort of tidying up they use to do

What did you do in the first lockdown in March, Barsel?
I just cut my fringe a bit but the rest of my hair looked like everyone else’s..somewhat overgrown!
I think we’re all going to look like yetis again :)
