Very Itchy Skin On Upper And Lower Eyelids
16 Answers
Specifically in the creases. Sometimes slightly puffy on the under eye crease. Upper eyes are rough on innermost corner. Sometimes it feels "prickly ".
I had similar but worse about 10 years ago...very red and sore. A wash I found at Boots helped...I don't recall the name.
I initially thought it was the crayon liner I was using...have replaced that.
Now I'm thinking it's the new brand of foundation that I bought shortly before this started about 6 weeks ago...only used as a base for eye makeup. Everything else I use...primer, mascara, cleansers...are bought fairly recently.
Any recommendations for products to treat this?

The 'official' way to deal with blepharitis (i.e. the one given to me by an optician last year, as well as the one on the NHS website) is to apply heat to your eyelids prior to cleaning them. e.g. by soaking a couple of cotton wall balls in warm-to-hot water and then holding them on your eyelids for at least 5 minutes. See here:

Opticians and pharmacists like to sell you special wipes for cleaning your eyelids but I've not found them to be really necessary.
