im looking for a job im a 14 yr old boy iput a question in but i keep geting funny answeres so i dont want to sweep haidressers floors were as before i said work in a hairdressers and i got answeres saying lets get rid of all trained staff and i said id work any hours thats within the legal limits so no more funny answeres i just wana know if any one knows of any jobs in hemel hempstead that i can apply for

sorry for the facetious answer before - i think its great that you want to work - but i was serious, how about window cleaning? you could go to a few local shops and ask who their current ones are, get their details and ask them to take to on as an apprentice or something - or just keep your eye out for a few local window cleaners on the job and just ask.

also try local carwashes - some now do hand washing and polishing.
try local garages, car lots, and salesrooms too, they may need cars washing and valeting inside.

i'm afraid at your age, you won't get anything skilled but if you were to offer to do, say, 2 weeks work experience, once you have proved yourself, they may be inclined to give you more responsibilty and therefore more money in the long run

Have you tried at Jarman Park, there are loads of restaurants and the ice rink etc, ask around and see if there are any vacancies. It is difficult at your age though, my son is nearly 18 and since he gave up his paper round delivering the free local newspaper last year, he has been unable to get part time work despite trying loads of places - good luck and keep on trying

I may be wrong, but I believe that you have to be 15 before you can work in a shop, market etc.
