IPL treatment-red thread veins

Has anyone had Intense Pulse Light treatment for red thread veins on the face? Have the red thread veins ever returned? How good/bad is this treament?

I wouldn't go for IPL. I had it done and had to go back again for a simple small spider vein. It also has to be done several times in one spot (hurting) and causes some thinning of the skin. Years ago I had plain old electrolysis and that was brilliant (on my face for spider vein). It has never come back but that area now never tans - loss of pigmentation but it is only small so not noticeable. I have heard of Veinwave too which is the other way but not sure I would go for that either. Electrolysis did the job in one simple hit, all in one go.
