OK here's a very girly request....I've recently got myself a new boyfriend and he wants me to go and meet his mates in a couple of weeks time - but to do this he wants to go camping in a campsite that has no electrical sockets. Without hairdrying my hair I will look like a frizzy curly mess all weekend - does anyone have any ideas of where I could find a decent battery-operated hair dryer or any solutions? :(

There are likely to be electrical sockets in the toilet block or laundrette that will be coin operated, ring first to ask.
We are always doing rallys and my hair is corkscrew curly so i have to straighten it,the showerblock and loos have no sockets so i tend to do it before i go then if the worse really comes to the worse,i platt it,my straightners are wet to straight and with them i tend to get away with frizz, they are a godsend!!

Sorry if this has already been thought of and done.

Have you asked at the campsite? Most of the campsites we've stayed at, have coin operated hairdryers in the loos - not always very good but at better than nothing!

Thanks everyone for the answers....yeah I phoned and asked and there's nothing, not even coin operated ones! :( Think it must be a tiny campsite!
