Is waxing or sugaring more efficient at removing hair for longer? Also, is sugaring less painful than waxing? And is it safe to either wax or sugar the hair on your arms?

I'm told by a reliable source, my fiance that sugaring is the best method and less painful thogh by no means pain free! And she says there's no problem with doing your arms, but beware of ingrowing hairs. She says take an ibuprofen half an hour beforehand to lessen the pain.
Basically they both do exactly the same job......pulling hairs out from the follicle.....and it is sore there's no way round it....there is a little basket of nerves that form round the follicle and that's why pulling out hairs is sore...Boots do a product that you can rub on and is supposed to deaden the pain......and it's perfectly safe to wax the hairs on your arms and hands.......only areas to treat with caution are underarms and public areas with tend to be a lot more sensitive.

Thanks for both of your responses; I think I'm going to try sugaring and take the pain relief beforehand.
unfortunate typo near the end there, sft42!
try NADS, an ace product no heat needed [so less pain] water soluble - less mess. We got ours from Sainsburys, Not cheap [about 17 for the kit] but it works really well. I get the hair out in 1 pass no regrowth for up to 6 weeks. Use either boots pre spray if you're sensitive to pain and a post cream soother after. Or try a hairdressing salon supplier - like Sally's. It's best to get someone else to do it - who you can trust!, type Nads hair removal in MSNs advanced search. One slight drawback is you only get 5 cloth strips - they are reusable, but you can also use the paper version again sallys or similar allow you to bulk buy. Good luck smoothy!!
