Second-time-piercings?

I've had my nose and navel pierced but let them both heal up last year, now I want them both done again. Will they hurt more the second time round; due to scarred tissue etc?

Also... has anyone had thier tragus pierced; if yes - how much does it hurt?

Whats a tragus? I had my cl*t pierced about 8 yrs ago... the only thing that was painful about that was the bloody 'freezing' solution, which I'm told, they also apply to the nipple/ naval, so you'll already know the feeling.... the actual piercing was done in a flash and wasn't painful at all....

Hey, I have had both my Navel & Nose pierced twice..
My Navel 'grew out' because obviously my body doesnt want a bar there! (grrr) and i had it done again & it did hurt quite a bit, it was painless the first time, so i guess it must have been because of the scar tissue.

My nose healed up after my stud came out in my sleep so i got it done again, and didnt feel any different from the first time!

And i have had my tragus pierced, and i do love it but i dont think i would go through it again! its the most painful piercing ive had, and ive got quite a few including my lip & tongue!
It just a like a really really sharp pain, and it kills.. not to put you off! lol.
But if you really want it done then just go for it, because it only lasts for a bit, and after that its fine!

can't help with the nose and navel (still on my first time piercings) but i've got my tragus done,the worst part i thought was putting the ring in,but it is the most painful one i've had...up to now .Hope you get on ok :o)

Excuse my ignorance, what's a Tragus? I've had my navel, nose pierced as well as my 'hood' and my nipple. My navel was pierced for the second time around as my body decided to reject the first piercing...make sure its at least 6 months old before re-piercing, it didn't hurt that much, about as much as the first time i s'pose, which wasn't that much. All depends on your pain threshold. However, with the scar tissue on my navel the second piercing taking a lot longer to heal and still even after a 9 months has its moments, a little sore or a little 'leaking of liquid'. But I think thats normal if its scar tissue re-pierced. Good luck with yours, consult a professional piercer if you're unsure of anything.

I have my tragus done whcih I love but yes it hurt lol sorry but it did.

I've got most places pierced but not my navel. My nose - I'm on about piercing no.5, all in the same place, it didn't hurt any more each time but I found there was a lot more blood each time. But I had my eyebrow done in the same place twice and that was fine. I also had my tragus pierced, didn't hurt too much getting it done but I had a lot of after problems with it, mainly catching it in my sleep eventually (even though I was cleaning it at least twice a day) It was red, throbbing and very swollen and ended up on antibiotics, I have 13 peircings in my ears in total and this was the only one I had a problem with. but I don't know anyone else who's had this problem.
