Hair Removal Cream
I'm considering buying the Veet In Shower hair removal cream but no where does it say how long the results last. Another brand I looked at said only 5 days - has anyone used the Veet one, and if so, how long did you stay hair-free? Cheers x

I used the Veet in shower one and thought it was awful! For a start, it didn't stay on in the shower, even when the instructions were followed perfectly, big lumps of it washed off and left the bottom of the bath extra slippery (and quite frightening!)
The bits that did stay put, when removed did not take any hair with them, but seemed to soften them so even when I tried to shave them an hour afterwards the hair wouldn't move!
So not only did the cream not remove the hair, it made me unable to remove it any other way!
In answer to your question, I used to use depilatory creams and I would say 5 days would be a good estimation, if a generous one. I would say expect to see regrowth within about 3 -4 days

Hey, another woman tormented with the procedures of hair removal eh? I have actually tried this veet product, and provided you use it according to the instructions it seems reasonably effective. However..i'd only use it if you need a quick fix. The only way of depilating is to go along to the salon for a full wax...and NEVER EVER take a razor to your legs. keep getting them waxed and you should notice that the regrowth gets finer and softer every time. You could always invest in an epilator.....dear lord the pain is shockin but the results are great!
Veet is only good if you take your time and it doesn't last long. The pain from waxing etc is shocking and they also can irritate the skin like hell for weeks if you have sensitive skin.
Maybe try 'Silkymit'. Its like glass paper, so you rub in circles. As long as the hair is not long, it really does work. You can also get smaller ones for the face, great for the top lip. There is also an electric version that you can get at Boots...
