Nail varnish that doesn't chip!
I wear nail varnish for a day and it chips - highly annoying, yet when I go and have a manicure it stays on much longer. I am thinking the secret is a good top coat - can anyone advise a good brand that would help prevent chipping? Thanks

First of all before applying varnish wipe your nails clean with an acetone (yes acetone) based nailvarnish remover. This removes any grease in your nail so that the varnish sticks better.
If you wear dark colours you might want to first put an undercoat to avoid staining. I never bother though as I change my colour so regularly.
Then apply your first layer of varnish. when dry apply second layer. Then apply Revlon Top Speed top coat. You can get it most places that stock Revlon. It dries your nail varnish quick and after 12 hrs it's rock hard and hardly ever chips. Just remember not to emerge your hands in hot water for the first 12 hours as that can lift the nailvarnish off your nails

Creative Nail Design (get them cheap on eBay) are the best (even Madonna's a fan). I've tried them all and these are the best. The colours last for ages and the top coat is fab for putting over cheaper polishes to make them last (I use it over Collection 2000, believe it or not! It makes them look really shiny and like I've had a professional manicure)
