Stockings or not!!

I'm going to a posh do, black dress and black strappy type high heels. I've made a mess on the fake tan on my legs (typical) - would flesh coloured hold ups be ok with the shoes? There's no seams or anything showing, I guess I could paint my toe nails a bit darker but just need girly opinions on this please!!

hi medsecslave... i think that might be the only solution, i've not tried any fake tans so couldn't tell you if there is a way to lighten the colour any? If it is a dark(ish) hall, you might get away with no stockings... but take them with you just incase. Good luck and have fun ! ML

I would say it depends on if the shoes are open toe or not? Not always a good look to have!! Get a friend to give you their oppinion on what they look like on! If they are closed toe shoes - go for it!

You can get fake tan removing wipes from Boots if you did want to have a go at removing the worst of it?

spray on tights. you can get tanned ones

Personally I would try to sort the fake tan out with some of those remover wipes, and if that didnt work, go to a salon for a half body tan, and see if they can sort it out.

If you really have to wear tights or stockings, look for the ones with open toes so that you can wear your strappy shoes without the meshy bit showing at your toes

Thanks - I took the advice of Mustang Lady. Fortunately the hall was dark and no one took any notice (lots of wine!!). The stockings would have looked ok, they were clear on the toes so you wouldn't really have noticed but I would have just felt naff wearing stockings with strappy shoes. Thanks for the replies.
