Fake Tan for Fair Skin
Hi, I have very fair skin that NEVER tans, only burns. I'm going on holiday soon and wondered if anyone can recommend something I can use really just to give me a little bit of colour, that doesn't go streaky or blotchy. TIA.

The best one I 've found so far is the St Tropez Everyday lotion, and it comes in two different colours, pale and a medium. Go for the medium one
Incidently, it is on offer in Boots at the minute, 5 off

i wouldnt recommend a moisturiser with fake tan in, as if you go in the pool it will come off your skin quickly.
I work in a tanning shop, and i would recommend either one of these two..
Go on the sunbeds for very low minutes for a week before your holiday, some places do a weeks course, start off at around 3-4 mins and work your way up..you may not seem like you are tanning, but burning doesnt mean you get a tan, so dont be tempted to highten those minutes.
I have very very fair skin too and hardly ever tan but this did work for me.
the second option i would suggest is going ahead with a spray tan. These can last up to 10 days depending on aftercare, and i would suggest using a waterbased moisturiser, especially johnsons baby lotion because it works the best. This gives an instant result that is very natural.
hope this helps. =) hollie x.

I've tried them all and the absolute best for getting a light, even tan on fair skin (I'm very pale with freckles and never tan) is... Asda own brand SunSystem. I'm a beauty journalist and me and all my (equally fair) colleagues swear by it (and it costs under 3!!!). There is a stand self tanner and an after sun with a smidge of fake tanner (works a bit like Johnsons Holiday Skin etc). You can just slap it on like moisturiser without it going streaky. The results are quite pale, which is perfect if you are fair. Darker lasses might do better with a second coat. Also, if you think you can go deep tanned straight off then St Tropez is the best for deep, long-lasting colour.
