Cream not working!

Hi, my Clean & Clear: Deep cleansing cream wash doesn't appear to be working correctly! It's supposed to get rid of impurities & spots in a few days but my spots just won't go & new ones appear!
Please give me some techniques on using this cream & tell me what's wrong!
(I hydrate my skin with luke-warm water, apply the facial cream using circular motions by hand, then after a few minutes, wash off the cream!)

Perhaps you're doing nothing wrong but need something stronger/more effective?

I get bad spots and personally dont like that face wash. Im using Lancome stuff at the moment and it works a treat although is a bit expensive. Are you using a spot cream? Try Quinoderm (benzyl peroxide) it is very effective. Start off with the 5% cream and up to the 10% if that doesnt work.

Clinique face washes (scrubs) are good too and I think they've just bought a range out for spots :)

hi, its bringing out more spots because its deep cleansing so it sounds like it is working, maybe just needs a wee bit longer on the spot that were already there.

i dont get many spots but use tea tree when I do, it brings out more spots too, not easy is it lol

Maybe you have acne?
I have had a lot of problems with severe acne :(
Get down to the doctors and see what they can do, I tried creams like you, then I tried the quinoderm (5% and 10%) as alijangra suggested, these did not work. I went to the doctors and the perscriped me a few different types of anti-biotics. Over the space of like 3 years, none of these have worked, and now I'm on the pill. And to be honest, that's not working either :(
Mines a difficult one, but obviously, some of these might work for you.
But if you don't find out, nothing will happen!

How long have you been using it for?

I started using Clean and Clear Deep Pore Cleanser after I got a spot. Got 5 more spots. (Very rarely had spots before, even when I was a teenager). Stopped using Clean and Clear. Spots went within a week.

Now don't use anything.

Clean and Clear only washes your face, it stays on your face for a few seconds and you wash it off, the ingredients have no time to work. They don't really deep cleanse because it doesn't actually get below the skin's surface to work. You need something like a spot cream or prescription that stays on your skin for a few hours to give the product time to work.

Products containing benzoyl peroxide seem to work best. I use Oxy during the day & a prescription from my doctor at night.

PS I just read the instructions on my younger brother's tube of clean & clear face wash and it says 'Use daily as part of your Clean & Clear routine for skin that's really clean, etc' - which is code for it's not meant to be used on its own & they want you to buy other products in the range.

just continuing on from what Silversky said, if you have acne there are some really good treatments out there. Im 23 and I've had Acne since I was 17, but im now on a drug called Roaccutane which has seriously worked wonders. Completely cleared my skin, I only have a month left on this treatment but apparently I wont need to use anything again. If you dont have acne your GP should still be able to prescribe you something to help get rid of spots

I'm now using Garnier pure deep pore wash. It seems to be working - newer spots, however, are starting to appear but then this is what happens at my teen age - I should of mentioned this. Thanks to rveryonw who answered.

I have found a good treatment to get rid of spots overnight depending on size of spots but this comes highly recommended it is from america and you can pick it up at most boots stores it is around �10 for a small bottle but it is worth paying that amount it is called "bye bye blemish drying lotion" it is a little glass bottle with a clear top half and pink at the bottom it really gets rid of my spots after tryin lots of treatments this is best i found
