Also, do you straighten your hair in small sections? What is your hair like before you straighten it? Are you straighteners any good? It mightbe them that is causing the problem.
The reason I ask is because I have thick curly hair and mine has never gone frizzy through straightening, I seperate it all into sections and then, if I can be bothered, though in all honesty I rarely do, I spray each section before I straighten it. My straighteners are ceramic Babyliss ones, they were only about 40 so they don't need to be hugely expensive or anything.
I guess if you have afro hair you would need better irons, or if you hair is fine I would think you might need to add some (wax, clay or gum or something) to weigh it down after straightening.

yes as natalie_1982 mentions you do not say whether you use straightners or not. I have got shall we say 'kinky' hair and with any moisture a frizz can appear. I go through the following process which I changed a bit a few months ago and I have to say my hair has been doing great - can still get a bit wayward on a really bad day. Wash and condition with a smoothing/straightening shampoo and conditioner. I use several, alternating each day but quite like nicky clarke and pantene. I then dry my hair, making sure really dry and always finish off with the cool air as this is 'supposed' to seal it or something. I then get the straightners on and as natalie mentioned do in sections. I then rub some serum into my hand before smoothing it over. Cant remember exact name of serum but is a nicky clarke one in a little silver pump bottle. Shortly before I am ready to go out i have another quick run over the top with the straightners and then spray on some lee stafford de-humidifior. This sounds quite a process but have to say only spend about 10-15 mins on hair. I dont have GHD straightners, had Kodo ones which are half the price and all my friends felt were better than their ghds and make me always take them on holiday. Not sure the kodo ones are still being recommended so when my sister needed some the company i had go my kodos from recommended UK Hairdresser ones and have to say they are great too.
Only thing that tames my frizzy hair is Kiehl's Creme with Silk Groom - it really is a wonder product. I put it on my wet hair (only a tiny amount - a little goes a long way), blow dry then straighten. When my hair's particularly frizzy I sometimes also spray on Trevor Sorbie Protect, Flatten and Shine spray on to dry hair before straightening. It comes in a mini size in Boots for around 1.50 so is worth trying without shelling out a fortune.
