Grey hair

I have thick grey hair in good condition. I would like to go blonde, but I am struggling with what to buy. A friend recommended Loreal but I have looked at their web site and they have 5 different ones, I looked at Casting and Preference but there about 9 different blondes ! How do I choose which one? Has anyone tried these products? Do I pick the lightest blonde or will any cover the grey?

Please lidlicker - get rid of the grey hair at once - it does make you look older. My friend's mother is 82 and was grey for about 20 years - couldnt believe it - she put a blonde type of colour in and she looks 62. Really looks brilliant. She swims 3 times a week. Wish I was like her
