I would like to get myself a lovely haircut as a reward for losing some weight. Any views on which high street ones would make me feel special and do a good job? I don't mind spending quite a bit as it's a treat. I live in Bristol. Thanks

I go to Toni & Guy. They always do a really good job.x
eeerrgggghhh dont g t tni and guy - total rip off merchants. When i went the man hardly listened to me and then gt a flunkey to finish off the syling which wasn't as we had discussed. I walked away very disappointed and very poor!
I cant help, Im in Scotland - but well done you !!! go treat yourself girl
I can assure you that my experience of Toni and Guy is the complete opposite of Bednobs experience with them. I go to them regularly and have never had any problems. I pay 50 to have my hair cut and dried, which is around the same price I would expect to pay anywhere (excluding Sweat Betty's OAP Salon) to have my hair done.
Bednobs, If you were unhappy with your consultation, why did you let them cut your hair?x
because in the same way as yolande, i was "treating" myself. I dindnt know he wasnt listening untill he did the opposite of what i'd told him, and contrary to popular belief, in real life im very meek, so didnt complain, just went away grumbling.
Flipping heck Katie~77 - I would hate to live near you if you expect to pay 50 for a cut and blow dry! And no, I don't visit Sweaty Betty's OAP Salon either and nor do any of my friends - none of us would pay that much for a cut and blow dry!
I have very long hair, that's why it costs that much.x
Tony and guy are good if you have medium thickness, normal textured hair and carry off most hairstyles, otherwise you need to go to somehwere where people can recommend an excellent hairdresser.

Like Katie, I spend over 50 quid on just the cut and finish, but when you find a good hairdresser its worth it. Especially when you have a mess like my barnet to work with.
^ See!!!! I'm not mad!!!lol.x
I'll let you off - I pay half that much but I suppose I've only got half the hair you have (probably less!)
Also I would only be able to afford to get it cut about once a year if it cost that much!

I am intrigued now, we do have a Toni and Guy in our town centre, I'm going to poke my head in the door and see how much they charge, maybe its a regional thing...
