Getting curls?

Hi

I have long fine hair and i desperatly want to be able to curl at the ends or similar for nights out. Problem is because its so fine i am finding it difficlut. I've tried using my ghd's but it just doesnt work. Any alternative suggestions?

Without getting a perm you could try rollers and blow drying your hair round them or some heated rollers or a curling tong. Unfortunately if your hair is fine then they may not stay in all night. My hair is fine and I've never been able to get curls to stay in, except when I had it permed.

Thanks for your reply spudqueen! It is so difficult to just get them to hold..same with tongs..i could try the rollers option though!

what problems are you experiencing doing it with ghds? actually getting a curl or holding it in?

Both to be honest..i cant get the technique right and if i do manage anything it just falls out after ten minutes. :(

Angel Curlers! They are bright pin and i think designed for kids/teenagers but they are fab! My hair curls super easy but my sister has very fine hair that never held a curl but these worked! Wrap it up the tong (there is like a grove that you follow - very easy) and then spray lightly with gell hold spray, hold for abou 10-15 seconds longer and then unwrap - finish off at the end with some hairspray!
There is a water container as well so they are a little better than normal tongs i guess!

you can get them from argos and superdrug as well - they are cheap too!

I normally cant get it to hold with tongs..even with the groves on but as that pair have a water container it might be a bit better? Thanks for the suggestion..
