it all depends on what you are looking for in terms of staying power or type of cover and what type of skin you have .. i am in love with Estee Lauder double wear - it stays put all day.. and a friend of mine swears by Loreal Infallible.

Try MAC, they make many many shades and their consultants are so helpful and will find the perfect shade for you.

I agree with jefner. That estee Lauder stuff's very good - and you can't beat Yves Saint Laurent's Touch Eclat as a highlighter and cover-up.

Hi Icey! I've heard the Estee Lauder foundations recommended quite a lot. Liquid foundations tend to cause breakouts on my face, but the BE mineral one doesn't. In fact it claims to be good for your skin.

I think it's a case of using what personally seems to be the best, hun. I tend to stick to my faves, because I'm allergic to several skin products, so when i know that something works for me, I stay with it. Btw - I'll em soon! : )

A good mid-price one is Boots own.....No7-particularly the creme foundation. Great coverage& natural

I've heard that's good, pasta. I think lil ought to go into Boots or somewhere where she can test samples, and then go outside to see what the colours look like in daylight. It really is basically just a case of trying a few, and seeing which one comes up best. Also - don't Avon give away free samples of foundation, etc? Could try that.

Virgin vie, costs about �18-�20 but mine lasted me just over a year and I used it every day. Good coverage and lasts all day :)

I've recently discovered Essential Minerals and I really can recommend it, the finish looks so natural, and the concealer is the best I have ever tried, and believe me I've tried lots and lots, if you google 'mineral foundation' there are a few sites that will give you a few samples and all you pay is the P&P about �3, you can then test them, and find the best shades for you, I'm still using mine, they last for ages, you do need to invest in a good brush though..................................Welsh

i didnt like clinique, i found that after a couple of weeks it made my skin really greasy.
