Extreme Makeover confidence boost

I wonder what happens to the people featured on Extreme Makeover, after the cameras have left?

I wonder if these previously dowdy individuals, with low self esteem end up leaving their partner's in search of fresh fields. Does the programme cause people to completely transform inside as well as out?

I think that if their friends and famil;y had been more supportive in the first place the people would not have let themselves go so badly and so if the subject of the makeover decides to pack their bags and move on it serves their friends and family right

I've always thought their families always come across as loving and supportive, but the people featured developed low self esteem from very early on in life.

If someone feels ugly or unattractive in some way, it doesn't matter how much family and friends try to boost their confidence, they will never feel good if they don't like what they see themselves.

I agree with you Velvetee.

I watch all the Extreme Makeover programmes & alhough I don't think I could go through all that surgery, I don't blame some of them for wanting to do so.

The only thing that concerns me, is when the seemingly over zealous dentists file down what look like perfectly good healthy teeth, to fit veneers, giving them the brightest whitest American celeb look! Some look ridiculous afterwards & what happens when in a few years time they need replacing & they can't afford the thousands of pounds which was spent on them in the make over programme?
