i get pretty regular eye infections . i've visited my gp about it and an optician and didn't get a proper diagnosis or solution. i've since found that it tends to happen after i've worn eye make-up(eye shadow or mascara) so now try to avoid it. my question is does anyone know of a make-up brand which will be less inclined to affect my eyes. i.e clarins or clinique.it would be great to be able to use eye products again. ta in advance.

One thing you have to beware of with some eye shadows is the metallic element, if you are sensitive to it. It might cause dermatitis, as with my daughter, and sore eyes. I'm sorry, I can't recommend a particular one, except to look for a hypoallergenic type.

I use Boots No 7, and it's OK most of the time, but I am sensitive to some eye shadows too, and don't wear any in the daytime, these days, unless I'm going somewhere special.

It might be good to speak to a make-up artist for advice, as they are much more clued up about senstitive skin.
It's also important to discard eye make up after 3 months, as bacteria can build up (especially in Mascaras) causing these infections.

Try only to use Hypoallergenic brands. I think Almay do a range. Also, importantly, never allow anyone else to share your make up either.
And wash your make up brushes often.
this sounds really stupid but it works for me. I dont wear make-up being a guy and all but I do get eye infections, well i used to before I started using sun beds and I've not had one since.

like I say I don't know if this is coincidence but it seems to work for me.
