Good Hairdryer!
Mine is rapidly dying (smells like burning after a few minutes of use!) and I've had it for donkeys years so I think It's time to invest in a new one!
HAS to be...
- Powerful as I have quite thick, coarse hair.
- Long cable as it's quite a stretch from the nearest plug socket to a mirror in my room!
- Decent cool shot with a switch rather than button you have to keep pressed down- my current hairdryer kills my finger doing that!
- Good slim concentrator nozzle.
It would be a bonus if it had a variety of heat/speed settings, wasn't too heavy, some kind of ceramic/ionic features that supposedly leave your hair smooth and less frizzy and a diffuser.. but not essential.
Any help much appreciated, cheers!

there is cold shoot button but also you can switch it onto it. I have quite thick hair, it works wonders and very long lead. doesnt have a diffuser though
or this one has 6 settings

I always seem to be pimping this on here but the Remington D3701 is excellent. It is very high powered so dries your hair rapidly and is ionic so it smooths it down and stops frizz or static. My hair is naturally curly and used to dry it and straighten it but this hairdryer straightens it itself! I hardly use my straightners now!
It also has a boost button for extra-extra powerful drying and a cool shot button as well, you just flick the switch, no need to hold it down, and it comes with a slim concentrator nozzle. Not sure about the length of the cord, but argos does them so it should give you the details on there!

This looks like it but it's cheaper than what I paid and doesn't state the model (as you say):

It's cat no 443/0119 in case that link doesn't work. Maybe it might be a good idea to email or ring argos to check the model number
Or I've just found it cheaper here:
