Has anyone tried Leeza Gibbon's Sheer Cover makeup, as seen on the shopping channels? Is it any good or typical shopping channel hype and lies?

I've heard it works quite well Velvetee, but then most of the covers like that which contain minerals'd do the same trick. I personally wonder whether the mineral content getting into the pores of your skin, might eventually block them or do some damage?

Thanks Ice, I've read some of the reviews and that does seem to be the case. I think I'll give it a miss.
How strange, I fell asleep with the TV on last night and woke up to the infomercial about it. I thought it was pretty impressive (particularly covering the birth mark).
I have recently purchased Loreals mineral True Colours foundation and that covers everything. Gives a lovely smooth finish, evens out skintones, it's just fab and was on offer for 9.99!
Normally I get really bad spots with foundation but this one hasn't effected my skin at all.

I would say that it does the same as Leezas foundation but at a fraction of the cost.
icemaiden, does the Loreal foundation last all day?? Or does it fade off??

i have been using Estee Lauders foundation which lasts all day, but I get spots from it so only wear it when I really have too. lol
Lasts all day Sasha and it feels really light, not cakey as some of them can be.
I have the same problem with foundation and I also use L'Oreal. I'd swap if I knew this other stuff didn't cause my skin problems.

Sasha, as an aside, did you see the response RE the DS?
yes Lakitu I did thanks. i'm going to look into getting one when I get paid.

Think I might try the Loreal Foundation, seems its not that expensive.
Great stuff, happy downloading :o)

I'm going to give the other foundation a bash too.

I saw the same infomercial Lakitu, which prompted this question. I wouldn't mind trying it, but I have dark skin and as there are 36 different shades of black skin, I'm not sure how two colours in the darker range can suit everyone.

Also, they automatically sign you up to club membership, where you receive a new supply every three months, which is automatically charged to your creditcard, regardless of whether you want more or not.

Maybe I'll just stick to my MAC concealer and Corn Silk pressed powder.
I wondered the same RE the shades, Velvetee. I don't fancy getting bombarded with their junk mail/emails either. I'm going to give the L'Oreal minerals a bash, I'll let you know how I get on if you like?

Sorry for the delay with my response, I wasn't online yesterday :o)
Hey, I got the loreal minerals y-day. Its really good, though I have found that putting it on straight after you have cleansed your face is a bad idea because the powder just sticks and wont blend in very well.

My face looked dirty this morning after putting it on, lol not a very good look. So I had to rub it all off again.

Think it would be better on a dry/smooth face, not when its tacky from just cleansing it.
Excellent, Sasha :o)

Is there so many colours to choose from that makes it difficult to choose the correct colour for your skin tone?

Was it expensive?

Thanks for the tip RE the cleansing. It makes sense that would happen now I think of it, which I wouldn't have LOL. Thankfully my routine in the morning is such that I will be OK on that score.
It was 9.99 from boots. Umm there were about 6 colours to choose from. They are numbered 1-6, but the colours don't run in order of the numbers if I get my drift.

I got number 6 which was lighter then number 4. There doesn't look like much in the pot, but I think it will go along way. But on the down side with it being a powder it tends to go everywhere, so I had a sink full of dust this morning. Maybe don't put it on when your wearing a white top. lol

But it feels really light on your face and looks natural which is really good.
Excellent, I'll get some before the 9.99 deal (is it a deal or normal price?) runs out. If it's suitable for me I'll be saving a small fortune :o)
Yeah it's on offer from 13.99 to 9.99. Not sure if thats just boots or all the shops.

I did notice that No7 are also doing a mineral make-up now. But if you buy the Loreal from Boots then you get a 5.00 skin care vouvher that you can use against the No7 one. So I'm gonna get that one too and see how they compare. :)

Let me know when you get one and how you find it. :)
Will do, Sasha :o) x
Sasha-To stop the powder going everywhere, tap off the excess powder on the brush. You will find that you only need to use a little amount on your face, use circular movements and you'll find it goes a long way.

Glad you like it. I got mine in Superdrug for 9.99, on offer, I wasn't aware of the Boots offer otherwise I would have got it there.
Nevermind.
I'll take your share from Boots, icemadain ;o) x
Yeah I see that the little diagram inside when you open it saying that to shake of the excess powder which I kinda did but was in a rush to get to work. lol

But if you shake it upside down each time you use it, then when you open it there is powder inside the brush.

Whats that all about?? lol
