I put one of these up for my dad five years ago, and he treated it annually with something - apart from last year when the weather prevented him from geting out to treat it.

My question is; it's down to me to do it this year so what's the best thing to use?
thanks

Danish oil - thanks Jason.
no-knowledge, Good idea, unfortunately he's dead.
Sorry to hear about your dad,

I would very much doubt that he used every last drop from the tin of whatever he treated it with last time, have a look in garage, shed, whatever and see if there is a part tin of wood treatment in there, if so that's probably what he used.
