Hello, have a fancy dress coming up and I need a deep red lipstain to finish it all off, I have seen Benetint before but its a bit expensive. Plus I can't find any personal reviews of it online. Do you have one you swear by? I need it to be a dark deep red rather than a bright red. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Blood red would be perfect
Max Factor and Urban Decay do some very long-lasting colours at a decent price.
I also find that the Lancome ones stay on well, but there's been some recent stories about that being one of the makes that uses lead in their products. x
Department stores your best best bet. Go try out a few, there were plenty in that sort of colour last time I looked.

I use quite a long lasting red (althoug admittedly not blood red as it's vaguely au nateral innit) revlon lip gloss which is really good and I'm sure they do darker colours but not entirely sure lip gloss is the way forwards you want to go.

I did have a colour like the one you're after in a lip liner and lipstick from Body Shop but again, not sure it's the way you want to go.

That lip stain from Benefit or whatever it's called... the one with the old fashioned designed boxes... is absolute rubbish and stinks though and I'm sure someone will swear by it (someone always does) but in my (very humble) opinion, it's a complete waist of money.
This:

is identical to the Benetint one, I've been told it's made by Benefit and is so similar to the Benefit one that I'd believe it. You can layer it to make it darker too
out of interest...do the lipstains like your superdrug one and benetint make your lips really dry?
i love Max Factors Lipfinity for staying power, but hate how dry it makes your lips, even after you've applied the topcoat.
I use benetint, but it's not going to make your lips as blood red as you're after. Mostly I use it as a cheek stain.

China Doll, I've bought a few over the years, and they never smell! You must have used a dodgy bottle!

Boots No 7 have some very good deep red colours, as do Benefit in their normal lipstick range. They are both long lasting without drying out your lips.
I found it smelt really strongly of rose water Ava... One of my most hated of all smells... I did find it quite drying as well and it's too red to use on my cheeks. I really do think it's an overrated product.

Mind you, I'm still on the hunt for the perfect mascara.
