Removing unsightly moles and beauty marks?

I was wondering if you can have unsightly moles/beauty marks/etc removed by your GP, and if it costs?
I've had a beauty mark in between my eyebrows and slightly to the left for my whole life, but I hate it as everyone says it looks like a big spot. I know you cannot remove them yourself, but I'm not entirely sure if you have to go to a specialist to remove it or just an average GP.
Anyone who knows would be a great help, and if you also know more such as if it costs and how much that would also be wonderful :)
