Tongue Piercings. Painful?

Hey, Havnt been on this in so long but I think im gonna start again.. I always got great help from people.

Anyways, Heres my newest question.

I have finally plucked up the courage to get my long awaited tongue piercing which I hope to get this sunday. But I have a few questions which I would love to know the answers to if they can be answered :)

-Does it hurt?
-Can it be highly infectious?
-How long does it take to heal?
-What are the do's and don'ts of new tongue piercings?
-Any whats peoples opinions on the attractive side? Attractive or Unattractive?

Unattractive. Makes you talk funny, bad for your teeth and makes you look like a pleb when you keep playing with it.

ive got loads of piercing but wouldntt have my tongue done, mates who've had it done say it doesnt really hurt, but swellls up a fair bit afterwards

Yes it hurts,it is easily infected if you don't observe good oral hygiene,it can take anything from a couple of days to a few weeks to heal,do not fiddle with the new piercing.

I have to say I find them really unattractive on both men and women.

older son has ear piercings and a lip ring (yuck) but he does Not want a tongue piercing (thankfully)

Both my daughters had their tongues pierced after they left home (I wouldn't allow it before),thankfully they have both removed them and allowed them to heal up.

if the piercing hits a certain nerve in the tongue, it will never stop bleeding, so therefore you will then die.

if you have it done make sure you go somewhere with a good rep and get it done by someone who has done it plenty of times its real easy to get a piercing certificate
