The girl i usually get is on maternity leave,i would love to give her a few quid for doing it in my house
My mum grew up with my hairdresser so for two colours, wash, cut, blowdry and straighten its £25. I think you need to make friends with one!!
Ooops, I only wrote half an answer.

Having a mobile hairdresser to your house is far cheaper than going to a salon. I know my friend charges £10 for a cut & blow dry.
There must be a cheaper hairdressers around. My hairdresser is not in the town centre and charges me £46 for three colours, cut and blow dry.
My local hairdressers charge £100 for half head colour, cut and blowdry and that is only local shops in surbiton. So count yourself lucky ! You can always try a hairdressing school but you take a chance what you get and they are very very very slow at cutting.
