I have just dyed my hair honey blonde using Naturtint (ammonia free) hair dye and my roots have turned ginger. If I buy a brown hair dye tomorrow (the same brand and also ammonia free) will It be safe to re-dye my hair & so soon? I am too embarrassed to go to the hairdressers to get this corrected. Also if this is not possible is there anything i could do to tone down the ginger??
Pls help. x
If you use a brown dye on top of the ginger you will get a more brownish red, but if you use it on top of the blonde it could well go green. Your best bet is to dye it red, then brown.
I have had so many hair disasters - I've been green and pink and I ended up bright ginger the day before my first wedding (I should've taken it as an omen).
noooooo! dont stick red on it, to tone down the ginger, put in an ash blone, or an ash brown-which will remove the red/ginger tones in your hair. you dont need to put on a red b4 the brown-nonsence, youll never get rid of the red tones that way-and dont be shy of hairdressers either.
