Fresh nose piercing
Today is my birthday and through spontanaiety i decided to go and get my nose pierced! It's ok, i'm in my 20's so i knew that i wanted it done. The thing is that i'm worried of infection or other problems as the nose shares the same blood supply as the brain and so the brain could, technically, get an infection too! When reading this i panicked and that's why i'm asking for advice from anyone who knows anything about this type of piercing. The piercer told me to change the piercing in 3 weeks but as it is large and my son would pull at it i changed it within the hour to a smaller stud that i purchased from the shop. I wanted to know if this is dangerous? It did bleed a bit when i pulled the other one out but i could just be over panicking. What do you think?
Thanks

Any infection you get would be fairly minor, you can normally clear them up quickly. Just make sure you stick to pure metals (gold, silver etc) and keep it clean.
Just as a reply to the bit about yellow pus meaning the peircing is infected.
don't forget that you will get kind of crusty yellow bits round the piercing where it is healing. These are what you are aiming to removed when you clean it, and are totally normal. They don't mean the piercing is infected.
