the best for keeping weight steady, I am at my ideal weight and would like to stay there (as I love food so much especially since giving up smoking) would it be interval training on teadmill mixture of walking and running, or even walking uphill on treadmill, rower, cross trainer or cycling, or maybe some time on each machine but for how long?
To maintain your weight it is recommended that you do 30 mins of cardio a day (walking, running, cycling etc) and if you stick to a regular routine then this will help. The body gets used to the regular exercises after a certain amount of time and this will maintain a steady weight as long as you don't over eat!
