Trapped Air?
2 Answers
Bit of a random question as it's something I've had for a while and not sure what to put it down to.
I've had acid reflux problems (previous ulcer) and was on lanzoprazole then omeprazole which I came off and had no chest pains etc... for ages now. Also have menieres disease and on stemetil, betahistine and flixonase spray which I only take when needed.
I still get a lot of what seems like trapped air pressure the top of the back of my throat and often higher up round the back of my nose and (as it feels) my forehead so I assume sinuses? The former is like a burp which just goes round and round won't out itself and I have to stop trying to get out in the end as it can get to my gag relfux and I've ended up throwing up before now. Sqad, if you're about, it's almost like the meniere's ear pressure, breaks slightly then goes straight back if that make sense.
Am wondering if it's likely to be related to the relux or menieres (or even the bile acid malabsorbtion if reflux related?) and if there is anything I can do to ease it. It's not a big problem, more annoying. Will ask my new GP as got to make a repeat prescription apt at new Drs now mine has shut down but any suggestions in the meantime welcome.

It's wierd I only tend to notice it evenings as well. Have been trying to keep an eye on what I'm eating in case it's somehow realted to the malabsrbtion and what I'm eating - the burping bit anyway.
