Hi I asked this question the other day and had some welcome answers. So sqad I thought I would give you an update. My SIL had a blood test on tuesday and has had a phone call from doctor to say he is to go in tomorrow for his op. So thankgoodness for that. The wedding is next saturday and although he will not be fully well at least he will be better than he feels now. xx

Eight days lilac, he should be ok as long as he doesnt overdo the exercise...........
If it is done laproscopically he will be a bit sore but pretty good by then if they have to proceed to an open operation as sometimes happens he probably won't be up to much by next Saturday. unless he can sit quietly and go early
he'll be ok by time of the wedding - maybe he won't be doing any break-dancing or anything, and will need to take it easy, but i was out and about 3 days after it, bit sore and slow, but fine. glad to hear all is ok and enjoy the wedding! x
As long as it is a laproscopy....lets be clear about that. Otherwise, its at least 3 days in and very, very sore as they really hve to open up the tum and usually that means a fairly long op. The guy in front of me had that as his GB had burst and they had to ensure that there was no risk of perionitis (spelling) and he was in surgery for nigh on 3 hours. How they had let his GB get to that stage, who knows as my crystals were pretty clear under an ultrascan.
