Bite...

I appear to have been bitten on my face, though god knows what by.
I have a very sore, red lump just to the side of my eye/nose. It started off as a very itchy patch of skin, but has now turned into, what is quite clearly, some kind of bite.
I was just wondering what I could put on it? I have taken off all my make-up, so that it doesn't get infected or anything, but am wondering what may reduce the swelling?
I have taken some antihistamine medicine, as I thought this may help?
I have some neat Tea Tree oil, would this do anything? TIA.

i find calamine lotion helps
I find it's best to take piriton or zirtek or something similar to get it into your bloodstream and also put on tea tree oil or witchhazel to stop the itch until the tablets start to kick in. Hope it's soon better.

Thank-you for your answers. I have taken some Piriton and dabbed a bit of Tea Tree on the area. It stung like mad, but hopefully it will have some effect.
Thank-you very much for your answers.

Itchy patch?.....for how long.

So sorry. I did not see the other answers this morning. I am not sure how I would manage to do that with a bluebell. I don't think we have any in the garden either. Can't seem to find anything on Google about that one, so I'll just stick with the tea tree oil I think. Thank-you anyway.
Sqad, it's nothing more than a bite. It's gone down a lot today and isn't itching. Thank-you.
